Andrew McNaughton is an Australian based multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter and teacher who has performed and recorded as a featured soloist in over
20 countries through Western Europe, Scandinavia, the former U.S.S.R.,
South-East Asia, America and Australia.
As an improviser, he is thoughtful and thought provoking; witty and daring,
and possesses “an actively radiant trumpet tone with hundreds of brilliant ideas.” (Artbop’s Michael Lutzeier)
He is also an enthusiastic composer and songwriter who values simplicity, beauty and humour. His work has been featured at the International Trumpet Guild
(New York) and the Australasian Clarinet and Saxophone Conference (Brisbane) as well theatre companies and ensembles around Australia and Europe.
As a teacher, he aims to inspire through example:
